PROVERBS

*Without climbing mountains one knows not how high the sky is;
Without descending into deep valleys one knows not how solid the earth is.

*Without courage one cannot practise any other virtue.

*Without forgiveness, life is governed by... an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation.

*Without hearts, there is no home.

*Without a belief in personal immortality, religion is like an arch resting on one pillar or like a bridge ending in an abyss.

*Without pain, one cannot achieve gain.

*Without victory, there is no survival.

*Without work, all life goes rotten.

*What is written without effort, is in general read without pleasure.
