WORDS OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA

THE FUTURE OF INDIA

Looking into the past only degenerates and leads to nothing, and that we should look to the future. That is true. But out of the past is built the future. Therefore, as for as you can, drink deep of the eternal fountains that are behind, and after that, look forward, march forward and make India brighter, greater, much higher than She ever was.We must learn the elements of our being, the blood that courses in our veins;we must have faith in that blood, and what it did in the past; and out of that faith, and consciousness of past greatness, we must built an India yet greater than what she has been.

EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL

Hi friends! How are you all?Now I want to share with you about a excellent film "TAARE ZAMEEN PAAR". Aamir khan has directed the film very well. The child has acted as if natural. He has not spoken more but reacted all by his expressions. We are able to understand all his difficulties from his way of acting. Every parent should watch this film.Parents are expecting a very good performance from the children but failing to know about their tender feelings.Children are tender. They expect love, compassion and understanding at school and at home. They are longing for it.Though parents may be in a very high post and they may have many commitments, but they are only parents to the children. So they must try to understand their children.Watch the film and be a support to the children.Aamir khan has taught us a very good lesson.

WORDS OF SAI BABA

PARTNERS

Sai Baba says that the interaction between individuals who live together in a close daily relationship, such as marriage, can be likened to the way two rough stones shaken together in a jar will each polish the rough surfaces of the other by the friction resulting from being rubbed against one another. This polishing process can,if accepted, give each partner the chance to work off old karmic patterns and learn the lessons that still need to be completed.
This is by no means always a pleasant situation, and many people prefer to withdraw from the interaction if it is too stressful, and seek another partner with whom they hope their shared life will be more harmonious.
If the interaction is accepted, together with the frictions,it is possible, with the aid of a partner,to learn and grow into a more mature and whole person even more rapidly and on a deeper level than is possible alone.
As this basic connection between two adults directly affect their children and succeeding generations,it is most important to try to discover why it so often fails.

MONEY

Simply to accumulate money that we are never to use it,from the intellectual point of view,is as stupid an operation as can be imagined. In places where much money is made we easily acquire a positive disgust for it.Our happiest hours have been spent with poor scholars and artists and men of science, whose words remain in the memory and make us rich indeed. And yet the real truth is that money is the strong protector of the intellectual life. The student sit and studies, too often despising the power that shelters him from the wintry night that gives him lamps and books and fire. For money is simply the accumulated labour of the past, guarding our piece like some mighty fortress wall within which men follow the most peaceful avocations. The art is to use money so that it shall be the protector and not the scatterer of our time, the body-guard of the sovereign Intellect and Will.

WILDLIFE

We require wild plants and animals for food and nutrition, clothing and construction, fuel and energy, medicine and ornamentation and above all,to enjoy the numerous life forms present in their myriad colours on Earth.
But our needs and dependence on Nature have resulted in the use, overuse and abuse of the species and ecosystem.Forests and woodlands are destroyed by over-exploitation for timber;grasslands are destroyed by conversion into farmlands and overgrazing by domestic livestock;wetlands are threatened by drainage for farming and construction.Environment is being polluted, due to industrialisation and luxurious modern living.Man through the corridors of time, has sent several species of plants and animals into oblivion.Living resource conservation is necessary to maintain the essential ecological processes on which our survival and socio-economic development depend.

THREE TRUTHS

There are three truths which are absolute and cannot be lost, yet may remain silent for lack of speech.

(a) The soul of man is immortal, and its future is the future of a thing whose growth and splendour has no limit.
(b) The principle which gives life dwells in us,and without us,is undying and eternally beneficent ,is not heard,or seen,or smelt, but is perceived by the man who desires perception.
(c) Each man is his own absolute law-giver, the dispenser of glory or gloom to himself; the decreer of his life, his reward, his punishment.
These Truths, which are as great as is life itself, are as simple as the simplest mind of man.Feed the hungry with them.

WALKING

Walking is a holistic exercise that can calm body and mind.It is a low-impact, natural exercise that releases fatigue and improves general health.Comfortable clothing and proper footwear are essential for walking.
Gautama Buddha introduced walking meditation as one of the tools for physical and mental development.
Walking meditation is a part of yoga. There will be no wear and tear, no strain but only a calm mind,a feeling of lightness and ease and improved energy.
Walking meditation develops deep awareness of the body and breath and prepares one for asana practice.
One needs discipline and commitment to make walking meditation,a daily routine.
